Cash for cars in Little Village
Do you buy junk cars in Little Village?
Yes. Junk Man Cash for Cars buys junk cars all over Little Village, from the blocks around the 26th Street arch out to Kostner. Fill in the year, make, model and whether you've got the title, and we'll call with a number. If you take it, we tow the car from your street spot or garage for free, and you're paid at pickup.
Little Village is the western and central part of the South Lawndale community area, and its center of gravity is 26th Street. If you’ve got a car that’s done, Junk Man Cash for Cars will buy it here and tow it from wherever it sits. This page covers what pickup looks like on these blocks. The rest of the deal is the same as Chicago cash for cars from Junk Man: an offer first, free towing, paid at pickup.
Getting around Little Village
The Little Village Arch stands at 3100 W. 26th Street, between Albany and Troy, with “Bienvenidos A Little Village” across the top. It’s been there since 1990 and marks the start of the busy stretch of 26th that runs west to Kostner Avenue. That corridor is one of the city’s biggest shopping districts, which also means daytime traffic and double-parked delivery trucks.
South Lawndale, the community area Little Village belongs to, runs roughly from Cermak Road on the north to the Stevenson Expressway on the south, between Western and Cicero. Other landmarks people use for directions:
- 26th and California, where the Cook County Jail complex sits. Locals just call it “26th and Cal.”
- La Villita Park at 2800 S. Sacramento Blvd, built on the former Celotex site and dedicated in December 2014.
- The California stop on the Pink Line, the one Pink Line station inside South Lawndale.
- 31st Street along the south side, near the Stevenson.
Where we usually pick up here
A car in Little Village is usually in one of three places. Each one is fine; we just need to know which.
A street spot. The car has been parked at the curb for weeks, maybe with a ticket or two on the windshield. Give us the block and the nearest cross street. If the car has flat tires or won’t roll, say so.
A garage off the alley. Common on these narrow lots. Let us know if the garage door only opens partway, if there’s a car or trash cart in front of it, or if the alley has a tight turn at either end.
A gangway or side yard. Harder, but not impossible. Describe the path from the car to the street or alley, and we’ll tell you honestly whether the truck can get to it.
If the car won’t start at all, see how we handle cars that won’t start. Nothing about a dead car makes the sale harder for you.
An honest note about this page
Very few people search “cash for cars” plus “Little Village.” They search from here, on their phones, for a buyer who will come to the block. This page exists so you know we do, and what to expect when the truck shows up.
Selling a car a little further east? We cover Brighton Park too, along with the rest of the Southwest Side.
Little Village questions
My car is on a permit-parking street. Is that a problem?
No. Tell us the block and the cross streets. The driver needs somewhere to stop beside the car while loading it, so mention it if the street is narrow or usually packed.
The car is in a garage off the alley. Can you get it?
Tell us before pickup. Say whether the alley is clear, whether the garage door opens all the way, and whether the car can roll. That lets the driver plan the load.
Do you have a yard or office in Little Village?
No. We come to you. Pickup happens wherever the car is parked.
